4-in-1 multi USB charging cable

How to Organise Charging Cables at Home: End the Cable Chaos

Every household has a drawer of tangled cables and a desk hidden behind chargers. A few simple steps get cables under control for good.

Step 1: Sort what you actually have

Empty the cable drawer. Test each cable, throw away broken ones, and recycle old chargers for devices you no longer own. Many UAE malls and electronics stores have e-waste drop-off points.

Step 2: Reduce the number of cables

Most homes have a mix of USB-C, Lightning and Micro-USB devices. Instead of three cables, use one. The 4-in-1 Multi USB Charging Cable (79 AED) charges different devices from a single cable.

Step 3: Create a charging station

  • Choose one spot near a socket, like a hallway shelf or kitchen counter.
  • Use a multi-port USB plug.
  • Charge every phone, watch and earbud case there overnight.

Family members stop "borrowing" each other's chargers.

Step 4: Tidy desk and TV cables

  • Bundle cables with Velcro ties.
  • Run them along the back of furniture with adhesive clips.
  • Label plugs on power strips.

Step 5: Pack a travel cable kit

Safety tips

  • Don't overload extension leads.
  • Replace frayed or damaged cables straight away.
  • Keep chargers away from bedding and curtains.
